How does hereditary hair loss develop?
Hereditary hair loss usually develops gradually. The growth phase of the hair shortens, and affected follicles produce increasingly finer and shorter hair over time. As a result, the hair can gradually become visibly thinner.
Behind this is a genetic sensitivity of certain hair follicles to DHT, a substance formed from testosterone. Care cannot change the predisposition – the conditions on the scalp, however, can be. Gentle cleansing and targeted care keep them balanced and create a well-cared-for foundation for your hair.
